The ingredients needed to make Matar Pulao:
- You need 2 cups of rice(any) I used Basmati.
- Take 1 cup of frozen matar.
- Use 1 of big sliced onion.
- Use 1 tsp of jeera.
- You need as per taste of Salt.
- Prepare 1 of bay leaf.
- Use 1 inch of cinnamon stick.
- Prepare 1/4 pinch of garam masala (I used catch garam masala).
- Use as required of Water.
- Get 1 tsp of ghee or oil.
Steps to make Matar Pulao:
- Washed and Soaked rice 1 hr before cooking.
- In a pan a heat ghee or oil splutter jeera, cinnamon stick and bay leaf. Add sliced onion saute for 3 mins.
- Add soaked rice with green peas mix it properly..
- Add salt, water and garam masala and cooked..when it's half done cover with lid and cooked with own steam.
- Water vaporized serve with gravy sabji or raita..taste is yummy 😋.
- Note: I made this pulao on pot but you can made this on pressure cooker too with 3-4 whistles on medium to low heat..
