The ingredients needed to cook Gobi and Mutter Sabji:

  1. Get 200 gms of cabbage.
  2. Provide 1 tsp of green chilli, ginger and garlic paste.
  3. Prepare 3 tsp of oil.
  4. Use 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds.
  5. Take pinch of Hing.
  6. Prepare 1 of medium sized tomato.
  7. Get 100 gms of chopped green onion.
  8. Provide 1/2 cup of mutter.
  9. Get 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
  10. You need 1 tsp of dhaniya jeera and garam masala powder.
  11. Take 1/2 tsp of haldi powder.
  12. Get to taste of Salt.

Steps to make Gobi and Mutter Sabji:

  1. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a frying pan. Splutter 1 tsp mustard seeds first. Add hing.
  2. Then add ยพ to 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste (ยฝ inch ginger and 2 to 3 cloves of garlic, crushed to a paste in a mortar-pestle). Stir and saute till their raw aroma goes away..
  3. Add 1 medium-sized finely chopped onion, tomatoes and saute till they become translucent..
  4. Add 200 grams shredded or chopped cabbage/band gobhi/patta gobhi (4 cups of shredded cabbage). Add 1/2 cup of fresh green peas/matar..
  5. Stir and then add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder and 1 tsp coriander and jeera powder and salt..
  6. Stir again and cover the pan with a rimmed lid filled with water. When using this method of cooking, you donโ€™t need to add water to the veggies. Steam is formed in the pan and the veggies cook in the steam. Cook for 10 mins in low flame..
  7. Stir and saute till you see oil releasing from sides of the mixture..
  8. Ready for serve..
